It can be added alone or accompanied by other aromatic herbs to omelets, mixed and fruit salads, fish, rice and desserts. It is a valuable addition to herbal teas, aromatic wines and frozen beverages. In Spain it is added to sauces and soups as well as a flavoring for milk. The leaves add a lemon flavor without the acidity to a hot cup of tea. It is best added to dishes just before serving as its delicate aroma can be easily diminished.
